Jacobs began studying acting when she was eight years old and was enrolled in acting classes on Saturdays at the Pittsburgh Playhouse while growing up.She participated in Pittsburgh Public Theater. Pittsburgh Public Theater where she always competed for the public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest leading her to be chosen as Titania in its performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mt. Jacobs quit Lebanon High School to go to New York City, in 2000. In New York City, she joined the Drama Division of Group 33. The school awarded her a bachelor's degree in 2004 following graduation at Lebanon High School.
